March 3
Acid Rain and Climate Change -
Effects on Adirondack Ecosystems Lecture Series - Sponsored by the Central Adirondacks Arts and Sciences Advocacy (CAASA)
at the Arts Center/Old Forge from 12:30pm to 3:30pm.
Free of charge and open to the public.
March 12
St. Paddy's Parade -
5pm down Main Street in Old Forge. This is a "don't miss" event! This is the
best (and only) Irish Parade in the Adirondacks. Creativity is always the main
theme of this parade. Along with the usual participants, many groups are
secretly making costumes and floats that will be a surprise for this year’s
parade. Individuals now try to outdo their prior year’s costumes or floats.
Parade favorites return year after year.
March 13-14
Snofest -
By mid-March many snowmobilers start putting away their sleds and start thinking
about summer. Not in Old Forge, NY! The four major dealers: Ski Doo, Yamaha,
Polaris, and Arctic Cat will premier their 2011 models, offering demo rides,
weather permitting. |
